1.4. Outline of the Training Centre:
HCM
City Pasteur Institute is entitled to make scientific researches and training,
in the field of epidemiology, medical biology, immunology,
molecular biology, together with the responsibility of directing the
development of national health programs (related to the preventive medicine),
contagious diseases’ surveillance and prevention in the
Vaccines
and biological products are prepared in Institute workshop, with production of
two vaccines: anti-tuberculosis and rabies’ vaccines, together with others used
in the diagnosis of infections diseases. A laboratory system has been operating
various tests, basic and specialized on bio-medicine for the clinical
diagnosis, and the epidemic discovery. The Institute is also a leading
organization of scientific cooperation with scientific research centres in many
countries.
Actually,
it has 17 laboratories specializing in biology, entomology, immunology,
bio-chemistry, hematology, molecular biology. The library and conference room
being expected to be upgraded, will contribute to the
scientific research and teaching. A refectory and house for taking a rest, have been used by the trainees upon their needs.
With a teaching team and available conveniences, the HCM City Pasteur Institute can assume the training task in the domain of epidemiology, microbiology, immunology and molecular biology.
