SURVIVAL OF SOME ENTEROBACTERIACEAE IN EGG MEDIUM PREPARED IN PASTEUR INSTITUTE IN HCM CITY FOR CONSERVATION OF BACTERIAL STRAINS

There are 240 Enterobacteriaceae strains examined for availability. These strains were maintenanced in egg medium IPH for 14 years (1985–2000) and 10 years (1990–2000). Results showed that E. coli; Shigella sp; Salmonella sp; Klebsiella sp; and Proteus sp; survived: 88,6%; 94,44%; 90%; 100% and 100% but only 18% (N=22) Vibrio cholerae biotype Inaba suvived. However, 86,67 (N=45) Vibrio cholerae biotype Inaba suvived for 10 years (1990–2000).
