DEVELOPING MIXED OMA AND OMB ANTISERA FOR RAPID IDENTIFICATION OF SALMONELLA AT PASTEUR INSTITUTE IN HOCHIMINH CITY

For along time, Pasteur Institute of HoChiMinh City have made only Salmonella antisera O - groups sppecific A, B, C, D, E and Vi. For laboratories can detect 9 serogroupes of Salmonella: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and L (98% of Salmonella strains isolated from man and warm-blood animals have an O antigen corresponding to the agglutinins present in these nine groupe). Therefore, OMA and OMB mixtures antisera were preparated. Strains of Salmonella CIP (Paris were used for production and control in this investigation. Immunize on rabbit. Mannual was follows guidelines for the preparation of Salmonella antisera of WHO collaborating center for reference and research on Salmonella. Result of apply, we have got final products of mixed O antisera: OMA (A, B, D1, D1, E1, E4, L) and OMB (C1, C2- C3, F, G, H). Laboratories can identify “YES or NO” nine groups of Salmonella in OMA and OMB.
