On studying sensitivity to antibiotics (Ampicillin, Tetracycline, Chloramphenicol, Erythromycin Trimethoprime/Sulfam, Nalidixic acid, Cefalexin, Ceftriaxone, Ofloxacine, Netilmicin) of 53 strains E.coli and Sigella isolated in DakLak province from 1997 - 1999 by Kirby Bauer method. Result shows that:
The strains E.coli has high rate to common antibiotics as Ampicillin and Trimethoprim/sulfam: 100%; Erythromycin: 92,9%; Tetracycline: 85,7%; Chloramphenicol 78,6%. The rate of resistance to antibiotics group Quinolones (Ofloxacin, Nalidixic acid) are 50% and 64%; The rate sensitivity to Ceftriaxone is 35% and limited resistance is 64,3%. The resistance to multiple antibiotics (from 3 to 6 antibiotics) are 60%.
The rate of resistance of strains Shigella flexneri to Ampicillin: 94,3%; Trimethoprim/sulfam: 97%; Chloramphenicol: 70% and Tetracycline: 67%. 100% strains sensitivity to Ofloxacin, Nalidixic acid, Ceftriaxone and Netilmicin. The resistance to multiple antibiotics (from 2 to 4 antibiotics) are 91,89 %, among kind of common multidrug resistance to 4 antibiotics (Ampicillin + Trimethoprim/Sulfam + Tetracycline+ Chloramphenicol) are 54%.
