HISTORY OF PASTEUR INSTITUTE - HO CHI MINH CITY

 

         1891: Pasteur Institute - Sai Gon was founded by Albert Calmette.

(The first director of the institute: Albert Calmette).

         1975: It got  admitted to the national health system

Its name was changed into "the Institute of Epidemiology", responsible for the management of hygiene and epidemics in the southern region.

         1991: Enlargement of international collaboration.

Its name was changed into " Pasteur Institute - Ho Chi Minh city".
